Registration for our After School Program is $5.00 Registration Fee and the cost is $35.00 per week or $9.00 a day if Dropped In

  • After School Care - 3-5:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday. K-8 with bus pick up from Watwood, Childersburg Elementary, and Childersburg Middle, Monday through Friday. We will provide an afternoon snack, do homework, Character Development and play games.
  • Summer Camp - Registration Fee $40.00 per child
    $70.00 per week or $17.00 per day if dropped in.
  • Zumba Gold - Offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:00 a.m. at the Rec Center. This is a low impact version of Zumba geared for senior citizens and anyone needing low impact exercise. For more information call the rec at 256-378-6225.
  • Yoga - Monday and Tuesday from 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. Cost is $5.00
  • The Pickers and Grinners - Will meet in the gym every Friday (unless something else going on) from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m FREE Admission

Facility Rentals

To rent the facility, a rental agreement must be completed and turned in with the deposit. Until both have been received, your date will not be booked.

Shelter and Warming Station

Childersburg Parks and Recreation is now a Red Cross Shelter and Warming Station in case of disasters. Contact Tova Lee for more information.

City Meetings

City Council Meetings held on First and Third Tuesdays of each month at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall

Planning Commission meets 1st Monday of each month at 5:00 p.m. at City Hall

Historic Preservation Commission meets first Thursday of each month at 5:00 p.m. at City Hall

Commercial Development meets second Wednesday of each month at 1:00 p.m. at City Hall.
