The City of Childersburg will accept bids for roofing project at Childersburg City Hall located at 201 18th Avenue SW, Childersburg, Alabama

Bid will include all material and labor for removal and replacement of specified. The project must include a 15-year warranty on labor and material.

  • Remove existing TPO roof and insulation
  • Attach 1/2 inch fan fold insulation to roof deck
  • Heat weld new mechanically attached 60 mil TPO membrane to insulation
  • Fully adhere mall parapet wall with 60 mil TPO
  • Install 6 new through wall scuppers
  • Remove all job-related debris
  • Warranty 15-year on labor and material
  • Pipe HVAC drainage to scupper drain to eliminate and prevent water on roof

    Successful bidder must provide certificate of insurance, worker's compensation certificate and current business license.

    Sealed bids will be opened at 10:00 a.m. at City Hall on October 12th, 2018.

    The Mayor and Council of the City of Childersburg will conduct a public hearing on October 2nd and October 16th, 2018 during the regular council meeting held at 6:00 p.m. to discuss public opinion on the proposed further amendment to ordinance 1093.

    Ordinance 1093 "Sales and Use Tax" adopted on July 15, 2014 designated proceeds of sales tax increase to be earmarked for road improvement. The proposed amendment will allow sales tax levied and received to be applied by the City for any lawful purpose.
